I went in to get my yearly eye exam for contacts and glasses, but mainly contacts. I had not been to this office before. Everything went well enough at the start, and they called me to the back.

Back at the original office visit, the doctor pushed a new kind of contact lens for me, and when I tried them on in the office, they irritated my eyes immediately, as I had expected. I told her this, and she asked "So they are okay, right?" I had to tell her again that no, actually, they were not.

I pay the $89 dollars and get the okay to leave, very frustrated. At least now I could order contacts and be done with it for a year. I go to an online site and get an email a few days later saying my prescription was incomplete, and when I think about it, I had not been given a written prescription for glasses or contacts. I had to make a few frustrating calls to the online company and to the doctor's office to find out what was going on.

There were far too many mistakes made for me to ever return to this place.

Dr Edmiston was a the best. I have been having issues with lights flashing and darkness at times in my eye. And I had seen a local doctor in gallatin two times for this issues within weeks of each. The gallatin doctor did an eye exam and when I couldn't find frames I liked there, I came to Walmart. I had the glasses made with the rx from the gallatin doctor and when they came in at Walmart, I couldn't see at all. With all that was going on I decided to let Dr. EDmiston at whitehouse walmart do another exam to check the gallatin doctors prescription. Well not only did he get a different rx type but he also said I needed bifocals. How in creation does that get over looked by someone? It wasn't what I wanted to hear at my age but, if it wasn't for Dr. Edmiston, I would still be trying to work and drive with the wrong rx which was putting even more strain on my eyes that already had other issues. Sure wish I hadn't spent over 300.00 in gallatin then have to pay another doctor to do the job that should have been done right the first time. Will never return to that gallatin doctor again.

The receptionist at the office said the doctor who checked my eyes had not changed the prescription back to the old type of contacts, and that normally I would have to wait for the next day that doctor came in for the prescription to be completed. She said she would ask the doctor in for that day if he would change it. I had to give her the fax number for the online site, and she said she would try to take care of it.

Unless you know and trust who will be in the office on the day you get your eyes checked here, DO NOT waste your time and money at this place, because they do not have their act together.

The doctor who was in that day barely spent any time at all, looked at my eyes and prescribed some kind of eyedrop not available in generic "for allergies." When I got the prescription filled (luckily my insurance took the price from well over $100 down to $30) allergies was not listed as something this medicine treated. I had had to schedule an appointment for the following week so the pressure in my eyes could be checked because of a dangerous side effect of the medicine. The doctor did not mention that I would no be able to wear contacts while using the medication, but she didn't ask if I was comfortable enough with my glasses prescription to wear only glasses for a week. I decided to eat my losses and not use the medication. I canceled the second appointment. I am not sure if I would have had to pay for the second visit.

My order with the online site was canceled because the doctor's office never got back with them.
