This was an excellent location to watch the Eclipse of '17 from. The players kept my 5yr old very busy and entertained. The grounds were nice and well maintained. Overall nice park.
Great playgrounds for the kids. Nice ballparks and football stadium. Too many times bathroom at football stadium didn’t have toilet paper or paper towels.
The comfortable, paved walking trail through the small town, behind woods and fields provides a variety of views. The marked trees are a nice way to learn about the environment along the way. There are a few places you cross a moderately busy road and the drivers do not yield for the crosswalk. Pay attention. The route near the sewage treatment area is smelly, but only for a short distance. You can ride bikes and walk your dogs. It's manageable for people at all fitness levels.
Go here every Saturday to meet with a bunch of friends. Always plenty of room for group activities.
My 92 year old father-in-law took Kim and I along with Tommy and Steph to the Annual Labor Day Fish Fry hosted by Burton Masonic Lodge. They provided fish and all the fixings, including fries, hush puppies, beans and slaw. The meal also included a drink, I had sweet tea. Everything was great, the food was excellent as was the weather. A nice day to enjoy a fish fry under the large pavilion at the park. There was a nice breeze blowing that made the day just perfect.
